Business Survival Guide – Webinar

I had a great webinar today with business owners from the Kansas City community. The webinar is one of a series of six entitled “Business Survival Guide”. It focused on the importance of knowing your financial position (especially during a time of crisis) and the basic mechanics of cash flow modeling.

Ken Ross – Professional Profile

Ken Ross knows that your time is limited. That’s why he’s committed to saving his clients from the hours and hours of research, being put on hold, transfers and email chains that come along with reducing costs.

“That time and level of effort simply isn’t available to most people who are focused on running their business,” said Ken. “The level of knowledge that Schooley Mitchell has is so much larger than anyone could manufacture on their own – it’s irreplaceable.”

That’s why Ken is proud to offer Schooley Mitchell’s valuable services to his clients, reducing their various business expenses and optimizing their service environment. By conducting thorough analysis using Schooley Mitchell’s extensive and constantly updated databases, Ken can get his clients prices that they simply can’t get on their own.

Schooley Mitchell is North America’s largest independent cost reduction consulting firm, with offices from coast to coast in the United States and Canada. On average, Schooley Mitchell reduces their clients expenses by 27 to 28 percent and has delivered over $340 million in documented savings to over 22,000 clients to date.

Ken wants to help his clients succeed. The Florida-based Schooley Mitchell consultant offers an objective, risk-free service to his clients, significantly reducing costs in several areas including telecom, merchant services, small package shipping and waste disposal.

Before joining Schooley Mitchell, Ken had an I.T background, working in various different financial services positions. Ken is a computer programmer by trade with plenty of experience with both banks and payment processors.

In other words, Ken knows how the merchant services world works. After all, it would be pretty difficult to manage the technology and products that the whole merchant services world is built on without learning a thing or two.

“I’ve spent a lot of time as a programmer working with business owners and clients,” said Ken. “With my background, I’m very detail-oriented. I really want to get personally involved in understanding your business so I know how to best help encourage your growth.”

Ken has considered himself frugal his entire life. He grew up in Omaha, Nebraska –Warren Buffet’s hometown. In Ken’s words, the lifeblood of a Nebraskan is to be fair, honest, and to work for your share. You do the right thing and work hard, because you can’t replace hard work.

“Even as a kid I wanted to save money. I wanted to learn how to leverage money to my advantage,” said Ken.

Saving money is a huge part of that equation. After all, reducing expenses has an even more direct effect on the bottom line than increasing revenue.

In his personal life, Ken’s biggest passion since moving to South Florida has been foster care. Ken and his wife have sponsored over 30 kids in a year and a half, and they often assist with activities that help the foster care system. He’s also done youth mentoring since college, and is a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

As a consultant, Ken values professionalism and ethics above all.

“My highest concern is never misleading someone. I want to cast the right expectations. I am always going to do the best I can for my client. I work for them,” he said. As far as enjoying the work he does with Schooley Mitchell – for Ken, it all comes down to the people.

“My work gives me the opportunity to know more people. I’m a very people-oriented person, and my work lets me talk to a lot of them. More than anything, I love helping people,” he said. Ken Ross – Homestead, Florida
