F.C.C. to Open Radio Spectrum
The Federal Communications Commission voted 5 to 0 to approve the new use for the unlicensed frequencies. The decision comes despite the strong objection of television broadcasters. Regulators are hoping that this decision will result in low-cost high-speed internet and new wireless devices.
