Lockview Dragons
John has been heavily involved in minor sports for many decades, as a coach, official and volunteer. Most recently, he’s served as team manager for the Lockview Dragons, which plays in the competitive Metro High School Hockey League.
Retired Referee
John Campbell has dedicated decades to minor sports, including 20 years as a hockey referee. His career of calling ’em as he sees ’em included a role as a linesman in the American Hockey League (AHL). He also was invited to and attended a National Hockey League (NHL) rookie camp, with hopes of refereeing for the NHL. John has since hung up his skates, retiring from officiating with the hopes that others thought he was as fair as he could be.
