David is a telecom executive with 20 years of
experience in financial management, telecom billing, marketing and sales. He
has held positions of Vice President Finance, Corporate Controller and General
Manager of Marketing, Sales and Corporate Strategy for major Canadian Telco’s.
He has a thorough understanding of telecom products and services, billing
systems, customer service processes, and customer cost modeling.
David established marketing and product
development strategies for business telecom and networked IT services
companies. He has had complete marketing responsibility for data services, long
distance and telecom equipment product lines. He also directed financial
reporting, revenue assurance, internal control and financial operations for a
NASDAQ/TSX traded telecom corporation. He had total responsibility for an
incumbent telecom company’s finance and billing operations.
David advised on the investment in, and timing
for the profitable exit of, international telecom opportunities. In addition to
Canada, he has reviewed investments in Europe, Pacific Rim and the United
States. David also negotiated a $2.5 billion per year multi-party telecom
revenue sharing agreement. David initiated and implemented the financial
strategy that resulted in a company achieving the Canadian telecom industry’s
leading ROE over a 5-year period.
